I'm sure that as in the normal course of things there will be times when some of you/us will decide to organise a meeting or two. If, for example, there are a good number of people within striking distance of say, Tucson AZ, Bedford VA, even Glasgow, or London, UK (or any other locality) then the opportunity to get together to swap ideas, have a few drinks and debate into the "wee small hours" might seem more than appealing! Trouble is, how do you publicise such an event to your peers? The answer, I hope, is through this forum. If you wish to organise such an event and guage it's response then please post your ideas / details here. If needs be I'll set up a poll to give a clearer indication on how popular the idea is.
Note: to take part in a poll you have to be registered.
Feel free to post your ideas in this forum.

Hi Jim, thanks for the heads-up, I've left a message explaining my absence on Mindat (in the thread you linked). Good to hear from you again, I'll try to catch up with you in Mindat's chatroom as soon as I can!

Hi "Digger Jim, " Just had to tell you that your email name "leaverite" made me laugh. A few years ago when I started to really notice and pick up rocks, I soon became familiar with your name when I would ask what it might be! And..........I have driven to my sisters in southern CA. and always rockhound alone the way home. perhaps we will meet sometime. I camped at Colusa I think it was, loved it, found alot of pretty rocks, and didn't even know about the area until I got home. NOW I know a little more. take care all

Rebel,
I plan on being there unless something out of the ordinary comes up? In my talks with Claudine Ellis, she told me of an elder gentlemen she talked to a long time ago. She said he was the son of one of Beale's Associates. The only one that survived. She said she had a photograph of his house. The vault is supposed to be near this house. She said she didn't know if the father and son had recovered or spent any of the money or if any of it was still there.
Claudine is a right interesting individual and I love to talk to her. If you know anything about the Beale Treasure, tales such as this should get you excited and get your blood pumping to hear more. I plan to hear more myself I don't know about the rest of you. I remember the man's last name but I am not going to tell anyone, you will have to get that from Author Claudine Ellis. See you there.
