Jesse spent a lot of time here in Bardstown Ky and nearby Samuels and was very good friends with the local Sheriff. Wish there was a tale of him hiding some loot around here that i could search for but i haven't heard of any. I searched a campsite he was supposed to have used at Samuels but only found an old fixed blade knife! We have a Beal Street here also but probably no connection and nearby is Younger's Creek!

kydave, your "fixed blade knife" COULD have been a "Pointer-Knife"; did you "record" it "in-situ"? Pointing to the direction to go for next "clue" or TREASURE! AND! We DO have legends of JJ/KGC treasure in South-West Bedford County/South-East Roanoke County, Va. area, where there are MANY JAMES families & DALTON families, living in the Stewartsville, Va. "area", "in dose hills". Hardy, Va. is ANOTHER "area of interest"; unfortunately, some of THAT area is underwater... Smith Mountain Lake!

Don't think it wa a pointer knife because it was in this big sink hole like place close to a big ol' log house. You could ride a horse down in there and build a fire and at eye level noone could see you or the fire.

Jesse James in central va just became interesting to me! I did DNA testing thru 23 and me and apparently there is a match to the dna from jesse or the body and me, through my mother's side! I live in Bedford county and would love to understand exactly what my relationship is! My mom's maiden name is Floyd. Her father was william brydon floyd and he was born around 1905. Any help would be great!
