;D Wife & I went to the Roses Fest at the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, Va. yesterday; I met with the feller who is in charge of cemetery history, etc. and we discussed the Beale Treasure Plaque while wife was looking at the display about BAWDY ladies of Buzzard Roost. He told me the info came as stated in the BT Plaque (aka Beale Treasure Plaque/BTP), and the FIRST "clue" came from a tree on Monroe Street (close by; I WILL look for it). NOT sure yet, what kind of tree it was/is. There are MANY "Hoot Owl' trees in the cemetery ( I briefly explained to him, about such)... ALL pointing to the CSA Cemetery. He said a "city dig" was done in 1970 ( I knew it was in the late 60's), and the BTP explained THAT "event". He offered to show me the EXACT spot by the Old Brick/Stone Wall, and I DECLINED... knowing he was very busy; AND! Ppl were listening to our conversation; we agreed to meet LATER. beale, as soon as I get more info, I will "bring you in"; have a metal detector ready! SUNNY & cool out...

;D TY, TOMm... very kind of you to provide that link; it may well be that the "Beale Treasure" buried in the Old City Cemetery is $$$$$$$ from the banks of Richmond, VIRGINIA. since Lynchburg, VIRGINIA was the LAST capital of VIRGINIA after Richmond, VIRGINIA "fell". It may also be why there is so much secrecy in Lynchburg, VIRGINIA about the "Beale Treasure", whether buried in Lynchburg OR Bedford County, VIRGINIA. Weather report for today... Foggy, then SUNNY!

;D THAT said, IF... the Beale Treasure buried in Old City Cemetery WAS from the banks of Richmond, VIRGINIA... it MAY well have already been recovered (BT), AND! Utilized to rebuild Richmond, VIRGINIA during the RECONSTRUCTION of the VIRGINIA state capital in Richmond, VIRGINIA "post" CONFEDERATE WAR... dunno.

THAT diary was "faked" & "planted" in St. Loo by REBEL SPIES for SOMEONE to find... HOWEVER, it DOES have some factual info. For an example, The "BT" WAS buried in a cave above Abert, Va. which does exist I think (cave); wife & I lived in Boonesboro, Va. WEST of Lynchburg, Va. and I spent time above Abert, Va. which is HILLY... above the RR Tracks & James River. R & I on the history of Lynchburg, VIRGINIA indicated that as the YANKS came towards Lynchburg after the "fall of Richmond", a wagon was seen "high-tailing" with $$$$$$$$$$$, etc. on a wagon into the mountains WEST. I traced the "wagon route" to be Boonesboro Road to Trent Ferry Road to Abert, Va. BUT! I don't think it went to MO, but... VMI in Lexington, Va.

Rebel I "think" that Jeff Davis was looking for Salt Peter or Sulpher etc. to make gun powder and amm pretty sure Thomas Jefferson had already checked out all the mineral area's in Va. before that to even get a report on other minerals like gold and silver if there was any to be found in the State. But there could have been another agenda for Davis!

;D Talked to Mr. D at OCC this past Friday re Zeb Miller tomb... HOAX, FAKE, FAKE, Fake! It was a Photo Shop, "cut & paste" job; the "tomb" is at ANOTHER cemetery (Spring Hill Cemetery) for SOMEONE ELSE... NOT protected by ADT. Sam Miller had only an OLDER brother, John, who died in 1841 or so; left $$$$$$$$$$$$ to Sam, who invested in tobacco, stocks, securities, etc... leaving LOTS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to Lynchburg, Va. for MILLER PARK, MILLER HOME in L' burg, & MILLER SCHOOL near Charlottesville, Va. (SOME to UVA, too).

Mr. D also gave me copies of "PICS" from 1970 dig for "BT" @ OCC; wife & I went back to OCC, yesterday to review "area of interest"; it is in the OLD part of OCC, "cipher tree" was gone (PROBABLY cut down, years ago); can see where "the dig" was... with the brick wall replaced by a wire fence on MONROE STREET. The "cipher tree" was PROBABLY a Cedar Tree (bunch of 'em around that "section"); the woody bark is TERRIBLE for putting "ciphers" on it; BEECH Tree is BEST! BUT! Nearby ARE tomb stones with KGC "Cipher" (a HEART) which indicate a HUGE "depository"; will NOT dig! Just leave it for future generations.
