While Forrest Fenn's River Map (second map) takes you from the headwaters of the Green River (on the Continental Divide) in Wyoming and down-stream to where the two Creeks meet the river (Boulder and Pot Creeks), I'm going to give you the directions as to how to get to this treasure (located on Pot Creek) by car. (the distance from the headwaters down to these two creeks is a long way, which is why Forrest would say "not too far, but too far too walk)
Go to Pinedale, Wyoming. Go west of Pinedale to Highway 352, and go north on 352. Once you pass The Place and Green River Guest Ranch, pay attention to the names of the Creeks as you go. You will pass over Boulder Creek, and the next one will be Pot Creek.
From the bridge that goes over Pot Creek, walk west along the south bank of Pot Creek. Within a short distance you will find the blaze (a BELL). This blaze, according to Fenn, means you are at the treasure.
The distance from the bridge over Pot Creek to the blaze (treasure) is a very short distance, and I'm sure that Forrest chose this area just for that reason. T

Forrest doesn't want the box found for a thousand years so that tells me the only way it will be located is by pure accident alone! He put it where it won't be found by any maps or clues! He's foolin everybody!
