Good morning rebel,
Here is another "seng" tale but it is true.
I went hunting with an old gentleman, he was in his upper sixties in age, still got around like a youngster. We went over on Lynn Camp near Grundy, Virginia to a place we later called "Bob Cat Mountain" We called it that because it was so rough, been logged, fire scald and the briars, vines and mosquitoes and bees were unbelieable. Anyway as we headed back down a branch, he on one side and I on the other, he became entangled in vines and briars so bad he could not get out-------worse he had stirred up a yellow jackest nest. It was gruelling I had to work my way to him and beat the yellow jackets off him at the same time beat them off of myself until I got him freed from the briars and vines. Lord I loved those days. AHHH youth again.
Another time we were in a logged out thicket my it was hot over 100 degrees in the shade just to look at a briar patch made the sweat flow. This same old guy above went across tree laps in a briar thicket, having to climb over 12 feet high to get across the thicket. You guessed it he stirred up a yellow jackets nest before he made his ascend. There I was stuck in the briars and thickets with no where to go, couldn't go up, took to long the bees would still me to death-------to rough back the way I came-----I just layed down on the ground till the yellow jackets settled down then I stealth away in another direction.

;D YEP! Those were the days... I remember "Old Man" Hensley taking a bunch of us boys to hunt for Ginseng up in the mountains above Beldore Community, EAST of Elkton, Va. Unfortunately, it was in the SNP (Fed. land), and as Boy Scouts, we could NEVER, EVER go hunting with him again. HA! He made his living hunting 'em to export to China, and hunting in the mountains... a REAL mountain man! THEN, there was "Murtles" (aka Morell/Morrell Mushrooms)... fried in butter with various spices... DANG! Getting hungry for 'em, NOW! HA! ANYWAY... there was ALSO Mandrake Roots, that pp were ALWAYS raving about...
