Yo! Rebel here: . ;D Ken, IF... the "marshy" area U have "found"... the ONLY place in Bedford County it could be... is along the Roanoke (AKA Staunton River)... Goose Creek SOUTH... does empty into it... IF it was "within 4 miles'" of Moneta, Va... instead of Montvale... there is NO Buford Tavern, nearby... BUT!... LOTS of MARSHY LAND by da RIVER BANKS of Bedford County AND... Franklin County... There are RED HILL and RED WOOD in FRANKLIN County... HMMMMMMM... (sunny, windy, and COLD! out...).

Rebel This is good news for you guys who wish to dig. Personally, I'm still stuck on John William Sherman plagiarizing Poe (to make the Beale Papers look like The Gold Bug) and hiding a short encryption in B1 with a signature identifying Edgar Allan Poe. He wanted all to think that Poe created this mystery. He's actually a very good cryptographer. www.rosedogbookstore.com/leoflali.html

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Drinking my "High-Test"... (still sunny, WINDY, & cold...); Ken... STILL thinking "outside da box" of Bedford County... MORE "candidates" for MARSHY areas from R & D... the GREAT MARSH... AKA the GREAT SALT LICK... AKA... BIG LICK... AKA... ROANOKE; IF we look at Roanoke County, on the WEST side of the BRP, where da "mines" were; ALSO... in Amherst County... the James River does flow up da mountains into the BRP... NO history indicating marshes, tho... MAYBE the mountain pp knew... dunno.

Yo! Rebel here: ;D aaah, beale... now YOU'RE thinking inside "da box"... of the Beale Paper... since the "treasure" may no longer be where it was... and has been "moved"... could it be that Ken has a NEW "code"... to a NEW location? Dunno... but will consider "outside da box" thinking... I have found some VERY interesting things in SOUTHERN Bedford County... ?!!!! ?HMMMMMMM...

Yo! Rebel here: ;D beale... Mark Twain NEVER lived in Bedford County... he was born in Missouri... DID come to Huddleton , Va. area on da train (his grandparents were living there, I think)... THAT story is in the book called GREENSTONE; YES, Buford Tavern, etc. is in Montvale area... upper Goose Creek Valley is above Montvale... "Buck" Wright lived in Upper Goose Creek area... CSA Treasury ALL was probably in da NORTHERN part... mountains of Bedford County... I have stated before... that I believe the Beale Paper indicated a story of TREASURE not necessarily from Beale & Associates out west... they DID go out west. BUT! I think the REBS used THAT story to cover up what came outta Richmond, Va. BEFORE the surrender... BUT! Col. T. T. Munford and OTHER Bedford County UNREPENTANT REBELS must have moved the stuff elsewhere... CSA Treasury info is what I mean by "out of the box" thinking... this story came from P. Innis; then P. V. in about 4 books ( P. V.'s LAST Beale Treasure - related book, was about "The Cover-up"... reflecting what I have heard/read also...); prior to that "in the box" thinking (the Beale Ciphers, Beale Codes, Beale Story) got us NOwhere... GOTTA be something to tell us where to look... MAYBE, VMI Library has something; will go on-line VMI Library...

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Legrand, it may well be that the local libraries, and the Bedford Museum would want a copy of your book(s) on the Reference Shelves... I would "google" Bedford County libraries (web-sites), and the Bedford Museum... to see if they are interested; have a "e-mail ready" to send them... they DO NOT have time to "google" Rose Dog...

Rebel Some exciting news! The treasure I speak of in my book "Leaves of Lavendered Lily," the National Treasure awaiting discovery, has been linked to the Beale Papers Treasure. Become familiar with the research project I work by reading the book: www.rosedogbookstore.com/leoflali.html1-800-834-1803 Essentially, Redknee has been located! The gold and silver described in the Beale Papers is still a hoax, but the B1 cryptogram leads one to the real treasure, that of which is subject of my research and is in Philadelphia, PA. Redknee is not a location, but describes a location. I'm sorry, I cannot reveal more than that at this time; I'm writing it into the new manuscript that is coming along nicely. About 60-70% complete. The book should be available by Christmas and is comprehensive. Read my book (Leaves....) all, and become schooled in "literary steganography," then I shall tell the secret. Again, my thanks for all the support. Ken

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Ken, if your 2nd book mentions "Beale Treasure" by tHAT name, even if it is a HOAX, I will wait for it, and NOT start with Allied Zombies United (AZU); it sounds tOO much like Science Fiction... and PHILLY sounds too much like National Treasure... you are getting your ideas from us and National Treasure, aren't you?

David Mason It excites me when someone listens and professionally responds to likely possibility. I'd love to reveal more, but it must wait for the book to protect what I've found. Yes, a National Treasure. John William Sherman knew of it! A lot of people in high places knew of it; not all knew exactly where it was though. I think I do. As intelligent as you seem, you probably have or will read my book (Leaves....). I'm disappointed in in you Rebel, you're starting to think inside the box again. But, you'll come out I'm sure. You're intelligent too. www.rosedogbookstore.com/leoflali.html1800-834-1803

**ANNOUNCEMENT** My research since spring of 1994 has netted the following discoveries: **Discovered a form of secret writing I call "literary steganography" (secret meaning in poetry). **Poe used "literary steganography" and wrote a secret message in his tale "The Gold Bug". **"Literary steganography" has been identified in works attributed to Shakespeare, namely, the Sonnets are laden with secondary meaning. The Shakespeare/Bacon controversy is solved....Bacon wrote (or helped write) the works attributed to Shakespeare. Bacon/Emerson/Poe/Lowell to name a few, wrote "literary steganography" in poetic works. **The Beale Papers riches are not buried in Virginia. The riches associated with the Beale Papers are secreted in a trove in Philadelphia. The Beale riches are a National Treasure. To learn more of this announcement, read the following works (in order): The Gold Bug by Edgar Allan Poe. "Leaves of Lavendered Lily": www.rosedogbookstore.com/leoflali.html1-800-834-1803 "National [Beale] Treasure....at Redknee"......manuscript is complete, copyright applied for, and book should be published and ready for purchase in or about November/December of 2007. My thanks to all for your support, especially you, David Mason!!
