Validation is everything. We must validate that gold exists in the mansion. This proves the theory and solidifies it. Roy Dallas must find his location and what it hides even if empty. This validates his findings. Validation is everything. Time will tell. "Who shall tell?"....Poe, in The Gold Bug.

Ken, Roy has admitted on ANOTHER forum (Treasure Net), that he is after the CSA GOLD; NOT likely to be in "Philly"; BUT! ONLY time will tell... ;D

Time will tell on my finding of the Beale Treasure Vault, also. I hope to get things worked out where I can make the excavation. If this is the vault, it has not been opened, yet. Maybe I can make arrangements for the excavation before it snows? I will contact the landowners tomorrow.
Rebel, I hope to share some of this treasure with you some day. I do owe you for some wonderful research you have been doing over the years. My problem with my own research is time and location, I can't seem to get the time to go to the Clerk's Office. But, maybe things will work out? If it is meant to be, it will be. Thanks.

;D THANKS, beale! Depending on what you are looking for... SOMETIMES, the "info" is "on-line"; cost of gas, etc. limits MY research, ALSO. BUT! Maybe, SOME day! TIME WILL TELL.

Congratulations Beale on your accomplishment. Check out this site which is a Philadelphia advertisement for activities: www.fairmountpark.org/pdf/discover_east_park.pdfSee: "Historic House Walk & Cider Making" for Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:00AM. It speaks volumes.

"Here we go again" The B1 cipher has 520 entries with a mean of 273 ranging from 1 to 2906. The distribution of runs-up-and-down varies significantly from random data; there is an excess of runs down of length one which is compensated for by a shortage of runs down of lengths three and higher. This provides a possible clue to the construction of the cipher as the author might have "jumped back" more frequently while engaged in the coding process. Autoregressive analysis reveals only one significant pattern of length sixteen but by itself this fact does not give rise to any suspicions about the nature of the code. Modulo reductions of the code numbers yields twelve significant varations from randomness indicative of the difficulties which the author might have experienced in selecting keytext letters to encode his message. Significantly, most of these parameters are even; this fact might indicate that the author numbered only every other word of his keytext and then fell for the psychological preference for "numbered" over unnumbered words. Keep in mind that this info was copywrited in 1983 and this author might not be with us anymore either. I did have a cipher disk that came with this info but have misplaced it and don't know if any can be found or not. Info on B2 coming soon.

The B2 cipher is longer than B1. It has 763 entries ranging 1 to 994 with a mean of 162. It has, of course, a known solution with Beale's version of the Declaration of Independence as keytext. Again runs down of length one dominate and are compensated for by too few runs down of length three and up. Autoregression reveals three significant cycles of length three, five and seventeen which is about right for a hand coded job. Modulo reduction indicates again a significant deviation for even number, indicating that the method of encoding chosen was "better balance".
