Our train of thought has wondered from the subject of the thread, "LOST DIARIES OF TJB" I have put it back on track and I hope it stays that way. I saw nothing ahead for what was being posted. Let's get back to treasure posting.

I went to Bedford this past Saturday. I was looking for a road that Thomas Jefferson Beall mentioned. I found it and took photographs. When I got back home I got on the internet and located the road on topographical maps. I followered the road southwest through the City of Roanoke and on towards Salem. The name of this road is not in any historical books that I know of? It has several newer names but the name TJB called it can be verified all along the road. I hope this research will lead to the recovery of the Beall Treasure.

Last night, while searching through the Old Kentucky Newspapers and Land Grants, I found another Thomas Jefferson Beall. He owned 500 acres of land in Rockcastle County near Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1786. There was another Thomas S. Beale owned land on the South Fork of the Cumberland River in the 1830's. Maybe a father and son, don't know?

Folks I had hopes of getting onto the property to search for the Beale Treasure this week but the weather took a turn for the worst and so did the landowners health. Maybe things will get better by springtime and we can see if the Beale Treasure is or was at this location. Hang in there and visit my webpage: www.hunteroflosttreasures.com

I have been waiting for those that have purchased by books on CD's for their thoughts on what I wrote about the "Lost Diary of Thomas Jefferson Beall" So far not a single commentary other than what David Mason posted. I still have not heard from ROCKHOUND surely you have had time to read it. So please if anyone has read them let me, let us hear your thoughts? I am going to place these CD's on sale in Bedford County within the next three weeks, hopefully at the Peaks of Otter and with Peter Viemeister in Bedford City. Those that can't order by mail at Mr. Albert Atwell, P. O. Box 247, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148 and if you live in the vicinity or are just passing through you can pick them up at these locations. Thanks.

I hope this research will lead to the recovery of the Beall Treasure. I have added another story "14 Billion in White Gold" to my book, "Treasures I have searched for." I have also added book number 6, "Confed'ric Gol' A 140 page book that was first written in 1926. It tells of four wagons of CSA Gold that left Richmond before Richmond fell to the Yankees. How it made it to Georgia and may still be there. This book is written in "Uncle Remus" english. A little hard to read but it sure is interesting to hear how a black man survived with his master for four years during the Civil War. I have been waiting for those that have purchased by books on CD's for their thoughts on what I wrote about the "Lost Diary of Thomas Jefferson Beall" So far not a single commentary other than what David Mason posted. Tonight, I talked to the landowner where the Beall Treasure is buried. Weather permitting I will meet with them either this weekend or the next. I am first going to just walk over the property to see what there is to see. Then I can ask to bring in search equipment and when they get satisfied with myself being around I will ask for permission to dig it up. Everyone wish me luck, it has taken me 13 years to get on this property. I am going to make the most of it. Thanks.

I will arrange another meeting. All deeds and wills I have found verified that the Thomas Jefferson Beall map as being authentic. Whether the treasure was recovered in 1857 or at a later day, I will find out when I visit the vault. visit my website at www.hunteroflosttreasures.com

My TOME is causing quite a stir on the treasurenet forum. I wish I could copy and paste it here on this forum but don't know how it is done? Should anyone go to the treasurenet forum, read what is going on and bring your comments back here, I would appreciate it.
What it is I have finally found kin of James Purcell, the man that I have his name Pursley and sometimes Purcell because that is the way the Spanish recorded it back in those days. James Purcell's kin are quite enthusiastic about my CD book, "Lost Diary of Thomas Jefferson Beall." Everything including the genealogy in the TOME is correct, all of the research in this book is correct concerning the Beale Treasure Mystery---------the only part of the book that is fiction is the "diary" but with enough research I have written the "diary" Thanks to all, I do hope you Beale researchers and treasure seekers find my book as enjoyable as the kin of the families involved in the mystery have found it. Lord I love to research. That's about all I do when I get time.
My seventh book that I am presently writing, in the research for it, I have found a lot of information about Patrick Henry and others of my local county history. Martha Henry, Patrick's daughter was an attorney-at-law in 1793 here in Henry County Virginia. Patrick Henry Jr.'s wife after he died, she married James Coles Bruce, during the Civil War, Mr. Bruce was the third richest man in America. He owned Berryhill Plantation in South Boston, Virginia, no more than 70 miles from my house. Martha's son John James Fontaine married the daughter of John Redd, John was present at the Battle of Yorktown in 1781 to help force the surrender of General Cornwallis and win this country's freedom. His home is only a quarter of a mile from my house. History is all around us, all we have to do is seek it out. I plan on doing all of the seeking I can. Won't others out there do the same? Thanks.

;D GREAT, beale... fence line was PROBABLY put in AFTER the "deposit"... don't be suprised if nothing is there; MAY have been moved; am NOT aware of "sudden" wealth legends of that area... except for P. Buford in 1820. Good Luck HH

Rebel,
You know full well that a gentleman by the name of Wright became quite wealthy in Bedford County as well as Paschal Buford. There were others, I know of one by the name of Robert Morriss-----not the same Morriss of the Job Print Pamphlet, but from the Lynchburg area-------Then there was another that owned 41 airplanes and two airplane hangers. One of these hangers is used today by the "Eagle" Transport Company. Then there are several millionaire farmers and dairymen in the County of Bedford, even the people you talk about at "New Jerusalem."

I made another trip to the property, Friday, but I was not able to search any, the landowner could not be there, so I left and went back home. It is difficult to get their schedule to match up with my schedule. If they would only let me do what I have to do, this thing could have been solved on Friday past. But, you know how life seems to keep throwing curves when you are looking for a fast ball. See you later, rebel.
