;D Thanks guys; wife & I ARE moved in; having fun with the ghosties here (dating back to @ 1938), behind the UMC in Boonesboro, NORTH WEST from Lynchburg, Va. & in the NORTH EAST corner of Bedford County... ABERT is not far from here, and the alleged cave of the Beale Treasure and VA State Treasury, last seen on a wagon "high-tailing" up into the mountains (WEST... as the "YANKS" were coming from the EAST (RICHMOND, etc.). The reason, we can move around so much is we are RENTING; I used to own a house and three acres near Charlot- tesville, Va. back in mid-80's... NEVER again! You CAN find rent CHEAPER than mortages... AND! The LANDLORD has to take care of problems, when there is a WRITTEN lease. ;D NOW! Back to TH'ing... Thom. Jefferson used to own ALL this land we are on; he traveled Coffee Road (aka Rt. 644), when it was known as the BETHEL to LIBERTY Turnpike. His "hide-a-way" POPLAR FOREST is @ 10 miles from us via FOREST, Va. and THOMAS JEFFERSON ROAD/HIGHWAY; SO! No Business Mountain is near-by... NEXT to the James River; the Blue Ridge Parkway is @10 miles on Rt. 501, near BIG ISLAND, Va. "Bear" Tolley had a cabin above BIG ISLAND (North), and MAY have been a SENTINEL watching over the BIG CSA Depository, along with "BUCK" W.T. Wright, who had a cabin in the mountains above UPPER GOOSE CREEK VALLEY... NORTH of Montvale, Va. (formerly known as BUFORD'S). ;D

(SUNNY out...) ;D The leaves are falling... soon wife & I will "hike" BETHEL ROAD, Fleming Mountain (aka Jackson Mountain for "Stonewall"), find the "old Roads" into the "hollers" (Walnut Hollow Road looks VERY interesting...), the "old Plantations" along Coffee Road for "mounded, dried up wells"... "vaults", lined with river rocks from the James River; saw a INTERSTING place near Coffeetown, off of Coffee Road... triangular "cut" into the mountain, with a "golden color" at the "top" of the "pyramid". Hope my ankle holds up... to "the challenge". ;D

Went "Bottle Digging" today and got a few good late 1800's. Man those old Brown Coke bottles are going for $80 a piece on E-Bay, friend of mine digging got two today. I got mostly Medicene bottles but they will sell for a few dollars. Keeping an eye out for old marbles too their bringing a good price, got a hundred bucks for three Qts. last week and they weren't anything special 1950's. Their asking $120 for a good Superman online, who would ever have thought it?

Hi Cowboy and welcome. I believe but I am not sure but I believe that cache was found or was never lost. I remember Attorney, F. Lee Bailey went before Congress trying to make a deal where this gold could be legally obtained and sold to the US Government. If F. Lee Bailey was involved I would almost say a group of rich people knew where the 17 tons of gold was cancelled. I remember a special where treasure hunter Gordon Scott or something of that name was out there with radioactive suits and high tech equipment trying to find it from a long distance. I believe Scott then went to Belgium to search for Hitler's lost train of treasure. Good luck in your search. You can find out about anything you want to on the Internet just Google the treasure story or the man's name and you will be able to read about the cache and make your own decisions about the cache whether still cancelled or not? what ever happened to hunter pritchard? he had a lot of info about the noss related gold. i found this site researching f lee bailey since his name came up in the news today. had not heard his name much since watergate. thought there was a consortium of air force generals who accessed some new mex gold back more than forty years ago...
