Wife & I visited the Peaks of Otter, & THE LODGE... yesterday. OUTSIDE, storm clouds moved over Sharp Top... saw 5 hawks, 5 fawns with spots, 2 momma deer; Heckle & Jeckle the crows were still there, with some other crows hopping around (haven't named 'em, yet). Inside THE LODGE; not much left, gift shop didn't have much; TV gone from down-stair "play-room" (EVERY room is advertised as having a TV & WiFi). Want a hamburger...? $10.00! Fave "pulled-pork" Bar-B-Q was $9.00! (Was @ $6.00, last time we were there). Didn't even look for a cup of coffee... PROBABLY $5.00 a cup... DUNNO! NO ONE was eating in the restaurant. NOT a comfortable feeling... Went by the Otter's Den, too; OVER-GROWN; didn't look like ANYONE was home... Mickie's husband died a few years, ago... hard for her to "keep-up" Otter's Den B & B.

If I go up to the Peak's of Otter I will carry a picnic basket and enjoy the day and return home. I don't need to stay in New York City while I am enjoying the mountains.

They filmed the movie, "Unsolved Mysteries" on the Johnson Farm about the Tony Brothers. I was in the film, "Million Dollar Mysteries" by Turner Network. Another film by the BBC was filmed there also about TJB's Beale Treasure. There may have been more that I don't know about. We filmed the movie, "Arthur C. Clark's Mysterious Universe" about the Beale Treasure on land that belonged to Jimmy Luck in Upper Goose Creek near the Walnut Grove Church. Jimmy has since sold the farm and is living in Lynchburg with his daughter. But so many films on the Johnson Farm maybe the Beale Treasure is on the Johnson Farm.
