Yeah, i kinda figured you had already tried that method. If i had lived a little closer i probably would have too. But i have to admit i didn't think of all the details you mentioned. You didn't by any chance cross any of the homesteads or farms you all have been talkin about did you? Like i posted in the past, it has to be buried on someones property in the party or their relative. I sure wouldn't bury a treasure on public land or somebody elses land would you?

Yo! Rebel here: Recken Rockhound is trying a "new" vesion of the Beale Code(s) on us?! HA! WB KyDAVE... The REST of the story is... starting in 1822, P. Buford started buying up land... building mills on Goose Creek SOUTH, near Porter Mountain... ALL within the 4 miles radius... SO!

Yo! Me again... ;D I forgot to add that the top of Porter Mountain was owned by an Otey... at that time, I think... will have to look it up... from the "Lost Villages of Bedford County" by the DAR... SWEET! ;D

I believe the the Beale ciphers were solved long ago, not by a private citizen, but by the US government. I think they also recovered the treasure. It just sounds like something the government would do. They did the same thing at Victorio Peak over 50 years ago.l

Nope, don't pay much attention to the goings on at the Peaks of Otter. I can see why the government would be so interested in the treasure. Sounds like a big national security issue to me. Imagine if a terrorist or some other thug got ahold of that gold, if it even exists anymore.

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Beale, it sounds like a good idea... THAT period of U.S. History is incomplete... WILL get pp to "ponder" the complexities of THAT time...

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Well, I was in the Moneta Library today, doing MORE research... could NOT believe all da "flat-land tourists"... this place is beginning to look like Va. Beach... Virgil Goode is a "good old boy"; saw him in Franklin County years ago. He is the kinda guy who wants to see what you have... IN WRITING... BUT! I just can not trust ANY Fed type with THAT kind of info, Beale... it might disappear in the "X-Files of U. S. History"... WHAT else is new?

Yo! Rebel here: Yeah Cuzz, at 55, I can't do as much anymore either... BUT! We can do what we do, and just accept the "bad" with the "good". I think now-a-days, I just use my mental/spiritual "powers" over the "physical" stuff like hunting... digging... and what-not; do not worry too much about "climbing those mountains"... except to "meditate" and/or write "books"; if U R still looking for the "thrill" (racing cars?!?), try to relax more, and go with the "flow" of getting older, with GRACE.

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Grace is kinda young but!... At 25, she is gonna be a BIG Star... HA! HA! HA! She is in High School now, I will tap her as the lead singer for PRAISING RENEWAL in a few years... already have a lead guitarist, percussionist, and "back-up" Praise Singer... (I will ONLY play rythmn guitar - ONLY a "jungle musician"... ... ); ANYWAY, what has that got to do with B.T.? LOTS!!! We can meet most anytime... got 3 birthdays and a family re-union in July... calendar is filling up fast...

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Stuck to the "puter" again? HA! Another advantage we have as "oldsters" (sp?)... is that we have to rely on "mental" power (as in your 20 + years of research...) and spiritual powers (as in "psychic archeology"... "remote viewing the past"...) over the "physical, brute strength" digging up the stuff... in a way, that is what U R doing, by sharing the "goodies"/fruits of your 20 + years of research on this board. The "locals" are mostly silence about the B.T.; MOST indicate burial of Reb Treasury type of Super-cache... and LOTS of smaller family caches (especially in Roanoke Valley...). Gotta go pray at the horse barn for COWBOY CHURCH in Moneta... Yee Haa!!!

I'm just wondering this, what article did you use as the key to the second and third puzzles?
I understand the that the second is the DOI but I'm not sure what is the first or third.
