I found this rock at Richardson Rock ranch in Oregon, I have many like this, This was my first time hunting, There are 4 others that i have that are just like this, Is it normal for a thunderegg to look like this> I was told that it was rare, just want to make sure Attachments:

I'd be curious as to who told you it was rare. I've seen thunder eggs like the one in the picture a number of times. Are they calling it rare because of the lines going crosswise through the specimen?

Never seen anything like that in Ky. but i had some from Indiana that looked like they actually had "eggs' in them! I got $40 a piece for them, not sure if they were worth more or not!

I have been finding a lot of geodes lately, but haven't ever seen one like that. I found some of those ones with the eggs in them in Kentucky, but I have yet to learn what it is.
