Well, Reb:
Seeing as how, this is 'my' play-ground... the answer is: "NO!"

Hi Gents
Question Why were the Pots With iron covers Instead of Lids ?
Every one i know, calls them lids not covers. if they were iron covers they would have to be most likely flat iron not rounded tops as a normal pots or kettle has
isn't a lid easier to spell ? But ifn yas tryin to figure a way of hidin a new word with in the words Iron Covers** (by the way thats a name of a place and its on the map )** North of (old Virginia) remember the northerly course and old Virginia in the pamphlet; Also the man that owned that property had lots cash and he personally new both men named Robert Morris also he knew D.L. the hi way man and he also knew Thomas Jefferson as a friend and he was in politics's Just a passing thought nothing solid this time.

Thanks for the answer to the Lid /pot question ,
but do you think they transported that extra Pot weight from Santa Fe ?
This is what i think pot is missing "E" POET (false or idle punctilio) A G C B 1832 by means you will know what to do (rhymes) Means is a last name B Y U niversity know what 2 do dates r wrong Sy and Will are also names POTTS is a name I ron is a first person name
LOUiS and Sally from unscrambled (*will you means*) (lion) Wilson
1832 back wards (spelled) OET missing a P or 1 is a P front wards is ottt =0 like in ottley and a very possible Wyandott tribe
Just a thought and a maybe

They used the pot to hide what they were carrying, and covered that with white quartz and petrified wood. Story was to build a house for a rich man out east, Also they could keep track of the weight, had a pot full on one side( ^----^ ^\ - ) home made scale, The gold and silver are in 50 caliber ball, a true troy ounce. No one has found it, it Is still where it was put and is fine. Look over it on the 25th of May.

Hi Gents
I was told by an old time treasure hunter about a cave with silver balls in it but he made the statement that they were cannon balls and he sold a pile of them to a very rich friend of mine.
he wouldn't tell me the area so i knew his son liked to drink heavy so I invited him over for a brew or 2 and my hunch was that he told his son about them and the whiskey got him talking and he told me about the family secret. he even took me with in walking distance by car he was in no shape to climb up that mountain to a cave of silver balls The dad told me that balls were rolled in black ashes to make them look like cannon balls , my rich friend had them stacked in his living room shaped like a pyramid The dad also told me he was looking for a natural chimney in cave or rocks used by the indians for something else he never did say what it was.
so just maybe the ball story has some grit to it

;D THANKS, km... it IS "numbers" on BC # 1 & BC # 3, we are "looking into"; Roy Dallas DOES have "numbers" that MAY be "sequenced" as a KEY. PROBLEM is... "they" didn't have com- puters "back then"... and TJ Beale said the KEY/CODE was so easy, a child could do it... I HAVE read about the "Patterson Code", and I don't think it works on the "Beale", as far as I know. I haven't even tried the DOI "clue"... just take it on "faith".
