I already found that Capt. Thomas J. Beall and wrote my book, "Diary of Thomas J. Beall" Rebel KGC and others have already read the book. But, I am sorry to say he was not the right Thomas J. Beall. The real TJ Beall was the son of Attorney and Surveyor of Botetourt County Thomas J. Beall, Sr.

That is correct... Tom, Jr Beale was son of Thomas Beale, Sr. who moved to New Orleans, La. after his duel with James Beverly Risque... grandfather of James Beverly Ward (BEALE PAPERS), and the Hutter Brothers; THEIR father once owned POPLAR FOREST (originally owned by THOMAS JEFFERSON). Grandsons of JB RISQUE WARD/HUTTERS probably played "adventure/ciphers" games on Grandpa Risque's Hunting Hill Plantation/Farm near New London, Va. in Bedford County, Va.; @ 5-6 miles WEST of Lynchburg, Va. Here's the "clue"... Thomas Jr. Beale -> Thomas J. Beale...

Wife & I are going to Buchanan, Va. today; doing research on Beale family (Thomas Beale, Sr.& Thomas Beale Jr.). Think Thomas, Jr. BEALE was TJB aka Thomas Jr. BEALE; then on to Lexington, Va. (2 nights). Hope to see ORIGINAL copy of BEALE PAPERS at Marshall Museum at VMI.

Was advised at Buchanan Library that all info has been moved to Fincastle, Va. THAT is another day trip or "over-niter". NO copy of BEALE PAPERS found at Marshall Museum Library at VMI; know that it was reported to be there. Know that Elizabeth Friedman tried to solve Beale Ciphers 1 & 3; she had NO solution, yet had 2-3 boxes of files on it... thought it was VMI, as NSA had an office in Lexington, Va. during WW II years. LATER!
