Oh no keep posting by all means Albert! You might be the only one that comes up with the facts. Ha! I probably wasn't online when the video came out, never heard of the extra numbers before. Guess i don't get out much. The "Indian" thinks Beale was the illigitamate son of Jefferson don't know how that fits in. I would just like to see as much info as possible posted. But i'm sure theres a lot thinkin they can solve it without any help like most of us used to do spending hours and hours, up half the night trying different documents and swapping letters around. Don't know what their in for do they? I've had friends that wouldn't tell me their ideas for fear of giving something away! ha! ha! ha! ha!

It's interesting that you found that site Kydave, I assume you were trying to show the genetic algorythm project for cracking the Beale codes! I have to confess that it was I who presented the problem and possible method for solving it using the genetic algorythm on that very site about 2-3 years ago. The original thread is long gone but I convinced the webmaster, James Matthews, to create a project on the site asking others to attempt to solve the mystery using the GA, however... he kind of got the idea a bit muddled when he typed up the details. You see, the point of using the GA is to illiminate the need for a key text and instead "evolve" a series of "solutions", testing and scoring each generation based on it's closeness to English text, pair up the best x% and generate a new, "fitter" population for the next generation and so on, until a reasonable solution could be found. Sorry if that explanation still isn't clear but it's the best I can do! lol

Rockster, I think i had something in mind kinda like that when i posted one code paper might key the other or all the numbers below the 1 on each page and the numbers above the 1 could go together. The DOI has already been used once and wouldn't have to be used again?? Anyway found your post interesting.

Beale, The solution you have for the code may be the best that anyone ever comes up with! I would say you have a lot to be proud of, gold or no gold. I don't think anyone is for sure how many errors may be in the papers. If the Beale treasure is buried in Virginia i believe you will find it someday. Really your doing what someone should have done years ago and that's trying to prove that the events really happened, who was involved and when!

Rebel, The Hillbilly treasure hunters around here carry guns, kill the snakes and eat'em, run thru the briar patches, search the unsafe caves and drive hundreds of miles TOWARD a hurricane to hunt the beaches for shipwreck stuff. Ha! I don't think i'd let anything stop me from a search like that!

And that's the end of the "Beale Saga" once and for all! Everything that can be said, has been said! Or what is it that Paul Harvey says on his raido show?

Ok, I'll pretend to be a "Newbie", Duh! Hmmm lets see if theres 618 numbers on paper 3 and 618 letters in the DOI signers names and 71 is the first number on paper 1 representing 71 words in the first paragraph of the DOI, What does the 115 on paper 2 represent?? I know! The number of solutions!
