Welcome to the new Treasure Hunter's Forum. Post anything you like (within reason) as long as it relates to treasure hunting.
Bear in mind this is a new forum so expect some teething troubles. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to let me know.

Great to see a new member appearing, glad to have you on board Tresrhunter, but could I ask for some more information on your hobby? Firstly, I thought arrowheads were primarily made from flint... And Secondly, "Marble Hunting"?...
Oh! and, how did you come across our little forum?

Nice site! Where do you do your hunting? I have access to National Forest lands in the California gold country and enjoy panning, metal detecting for artifacts from the gold rush and logging days. I also enjoy locating old mines and poking around for lost treasures. I have quite a collection of mostly old junk, but have the odd occasional real treasure. My prize find so far is a miner's pick from the gold rush era - hammer forged! I enjoy bottle digging too and collect old barbed wire samples.

Your probably right about Fla. Albert but my plan is to hunt the dunes with the snakes where everybody else is afraid to go if i can just get down there at the right time. I may not get to fly out till 9-11 that might be too late. As for the cannon it might be on Park property then what? Thought maybe you already had it at your house anyway. Don't know anything about the equipment you mentioned in your post but i think i've seen advertisements from KellyCo in Fla. or maybe one of the treasure magazines. Going north in the morning post later.

Rockhound, are you working out of the Leeds Hotel, is that old establishment still there? I went there from Iceland, took a cab over to G. from E. Didn't find any treasure though.

Rockhound, are you working out of the Leeds Hotel, is that old establishment still there? Hi Pope, Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, I'm still having problems with my diallup. Re: Leeds Hotel? I'm not sure what made you ask this but I actually don't know where Leeds hotel is/was I live in central Scotland between Glasgow and Edinburgh (I prefer not to be too specific for obvious reasons) and have never been actively involved in any bona-fide treasure hunting! Strike 2 against me lol If you have any more info on Leeds Hotel then I'm sure I can "dig up" some more info for you" Rock(free pun with every post)hound.

You might be a "redneck" if you walk up to a treasure hunter using a "metal" detector and ask, Will that thing pick up indian arrow heads? I have had that happen at least six times over the years.

Hi Rockhound nice site. I am a crystal/mineral collector I like to dig and find all my specimens. I also take people on digging trips to learn how to find and collect minerals. Hobbys rocks and minerals, old broncos, old tractors and old motorcycles.
Good luck with site.
