Yo! Rebel here: ;D MORE, on da CLOUDY MIST OF TIME... in U. S. History... From the War of 1812... hurricane "destroyed" the BRITS after da raid on DC... the U.S. Treasury was taken by da Brits on a ship, that sank off the coast of Canada (posted in a PREVIOUS thread...); some of it found... some... NOT! What is interesting, tho... some bank of Canada had LOTS of $$$$$ in the bottom of the Tower, that went down on 9/11... THAT was recovered in New York... according to a "source"... was it the War of 1812 "loot"? Dunno... After USA defeated Mexico... the Mexican Treasury went "missing"... a "source" said it was in the New Orleans area guarded by US Marines; During C.W. SOME $$$$$ in the newly CSA-ized Mint in New Orleans... guarded by CSA... Confederate States of America MARINES...; ONE theory of the Beale Treasure "source" was that CSA Marines brought it up da Mississippi River (Mint of EVERYTHING...), and deposited it over time... in the mountains of WEST Bedford County... called Beale... AFTER research of REAL HISTORY, in memory of BEALL... FIRST REBEL hung by Yanks... or something like that... The Beale Paper was done in 1885... there is NO Bedfrod County HISTORY of the Beale Treasure... only LEGEND... BUT! NOT a hoax...

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Yep! beale... I think we R on to something... as U stated Hunter's Yanks were "split"... the MAIN body (Cav.) went towards West Virginia... past today's Monvale, Va.; up today's Rt. 460... past Roanoke (then knownn as Big Lick, I think...)... onto West Virginia; as u "posted" Hunter sent wagons of stuff back up Rt. 43, past the Peaks of Otter area... following Rt. 43 BACK into Buchannon, Va. and Lexington, Va. etc. YEP! that is the "history". Jubal Early was asked to go after Hunter, because J. Early was born in Franklin County, BELOW Bedford County... and Early KNEW the area... AND... stuff was/is MISSING from VMI, and PROBABLY buried in the mountains... I heard there is "Beale Treasure" - related info in the VMI Library... I DO know this... according to info on Col. MUNFORD (note spelling...) was Prez of Board of Directors - VMI in 1884, I think... the Beale Papers were printed in 1885... HMMMMM...
