Yeah! I'm back at it again!!!
You say, that: "I most likely have a solution to the mystery."
And I would like to think that I do... or, are very close to it.
With that said, let me explain:
"Most" believe (or want to believe) that there actually was, someone --- named: Thomas Jefferson Beale
THIS... I do not believe, for one second!
And just 'why' do I believe so.
Because the name "Thomas Jefferson Beale"... not only gives credence, to the use of the 'Declaration of Independence' as a 'key' (to one --- and only one of the ciphers) for which, any other document, or even one of the Beale letters, could be used.
But, it allows for a rather intriguing 'anagram':
Thomas Jefferson Beale = Free Mason Safe Hole
excluding the 'T.J.B.'
Which, works well, with the story-line.
(speaking of "intriguing ANAGRAMS" --- see end of this posting)
Many would argue, that 'excluding' letters... is not allowed. But, then, who is to say, that they aren't. "Because it wouldn't fit the 'normal' use, per se!"
So! Somebody explain to me... just what is 'NORMAL' about this mystery.
When in fact, the very 'start' of this mystery is contrived upon the 'exclusion' of an entire word: "Selah"... found at the end of 'Psalm 46.' "S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E !!!!"
So... "IF"... this mystery (and it is definitely --- a mystery). Is a 'contrivance' of the mind. And bears 'NO ACTUALITY'... to any 'trip by explorers/trappers' to the Western Plains, as are my feelings about the whole thing. What, 'Pray-tell'... is the purpose of the 'opening- remarks' of:
"FOUR miles" and "SIX feet"
For the answer to this, we need to go back in History, and see their 'connection' to the 'Bard'... William Shakespeare.
At the time, that King James, was having the Vulgate (VAULT) translated, so as to create his own Bible. He was made aware of a man, who was said to have an extremely poignant way with words. That person was 'William Shakespeare.' A 'word-smith.'
And also at that time... Shakespeare was... "46 years old."
He left his name in "Psalm 46"
Go to the beginning of Psalm 46... count-in '46 words' --- to the word: "shake"
Go to the end of Psalm 46... 'exclude' the word "Selah" (meaning: God save the King)... count 'back-ward' for '46 words'... to the word: "spear"
You then find, you have: "shake-spear"/ Shakespeare
You can also find... that in: "Hamlet" (another of Shakespeare's writings) Act 1 --- Scene 4 the following:
"From that particular fault; the dram of eale."
Now, try 'writing' the word 'Beale'.... which can only be done by seperating it into "B 'eale'."
Also, here is another 'connection':
I have always held, that "IN NO WAY!!! did Edgar Poe, or his writings... have anything to do with this mystery."
Instead... it was his predecessor --- the more competent of the two... Lewis Carroll (Charles Dodgson).
To finish out the 'trio(3)'... there was George Alfred Townsend. And his 'very good, child-hood FRIEND'... Mark Twain. Who, whenever he had the chance, jumped on board a sailing-ship to England... to see a Shakespeare play. The man virtually adored the writings of Shakespeare and went anywhere to see his plays.
Within the 'cipher #2 message'... is this word, as it is 'originally transcribed'--- using the capitalized & small text letters from the Declaration of Independence: the word is seen as 'JeweLs'
By 'excluding' the 'J'... we are left with: "eweLs"
The town of "L e w e s, Delaware" --- though, not his home-town, is in the vicinity, where G.A. Townsend (one of the people that I feel is responsible for the creation of this mystery) was born and raised.
That should be enough for now to think about... "IF" you are truly interested in solving the mystery and don't let your own ideology get in the way of 'PURE THOUGHT'...
