Greetings friends! I am going to take a little trip up the I5 from So Cal to Eugene Oregon and would really like to do some rock-hounding along the way. I'm hopping I might get some advice on some good spots to do some collecting. Any thought/ideas or resources that might help would be greatly appreciated!! Much thanks and happy to have found this forum, hope to have some fun and make some new friends All the best, JuStone.

Hi Justone, welcome to the forum. Actually you got lucky today because I'm rarely online these days (no net at home and my monitor blew up, literally, a week ago) so well done ! Anywa, my best advice would be to check out www.Mindat.org and if you don't find anything there yourself, leave a message in the Mindat forum. The regulars are extremely knowledgeable and helpful so I'm confident someone there will be able to point you in the right direction. At the very least you'll be impressed with the quantity and quality of info you'll find on minerals and rockhounding. Best of luck and KOR (Keep on Rocking) Rockster
