LO HERE! LO THERE! Near Bedford Lake, in Bedford County, Va. NO! Purgatory Stream (DEEP water pit in dis-used mine), 45 miles NE of Roanoke, Va. "in" PURGATORY Mountain... DANG! 90 lbs of COLONIAL "pig-iron" (PROBABLY, copper) found... PROBABLY to melt down, and "make" counterfeit coins... HA! VERY SECRETIVE... don't ya think?

rebel,
I have a copy of all mine locations---------you want to check all of them? Myself I think the older mines should be checked------the mines that were mined for iron and salt. All of the mines I have mapped were mines after 1880's. I do know John Beale had a gold mine over on Bear Creek which is on 43.
I have seen small amounts of copper in the ore and tailing piles on Purgatory Mountain. Be careful around Purgatory there are several vents for the Volcano of the Twin Peaks. There are chambers and then there are deeper chambers. If you could get to the deeper chamber you may find silver bars. That is where one bar of silver was found with a huge light reflection from the deeper chamber. I do believe most of this silver was moved to another location about eight miles away. But keep looking you may find one of those silver bars, maybe even a gold bar? See you soon. Albert

;D STARBUCKS! I'M gonna focus MORE on Bedford Lake; I think Botetourt County & Purg. Mt. would be EXCELLENT places to look for SILVER caches, and you very well may be correct, about the "move" 8 miles "YONGER". Since you know where... you can "check it out"; just watch out for the Rangers/Sentinels on the BRP.
