I have a copy of a letter sent from Jamaica in 1716 to his brother in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I researched this on the internet for ten hours yesterday.
The letter gives specific directions to a treasure in southeastern Philadelphia at a location that still exist today called Society Hill. Of course the directions can not be followered today but there were some specific directions that I believe can find this treasure.
The treasure is contained in a trunk that is 4 1/2 feet long by 2 1/2 feet wide and 2 1/2 feet high. There is mention of gold doubloons and pieces of eight also cut gold coins of different sizes and 4 pistols. He says the trunk is buried 6 feet to the bottom of the trunk, which would make the trunk only 3 1/2 feet below the ground. As the letter still exist, there is a good chance that the treasure is still there.
I believe I could help some treasure hunter find this trunk of pirate treasure, but you will have to send me a personal message and tell me that you want to go to Philadelphia to recover it. I may get there myself some day, God willing.
There has been some high buildings erected in this area in the past 50 years but I believe the trunk is still laying where it was buried and I think I know where it is? If anyone wants to contact me to try and recover it, also give me 10 percent of the findings or value----I will put you onto this treasure and it's believed location. Albert

only problem is the area has been developed, most likely you would have to destroy city property or private property in order to dig it out, resulting in serious penalties. Youre not even allowed to use metal detectors in philly bc of the historical society which i think is b.s. , should be finders keepers. but if u find anything theyll take it and throw u in jail and fine you 10,000.
