;D (Making appropriate signs & mumbling password; if you forget... just mumble, LOUDLY ); ALMOST had it correct. "Cemetery"; spent a lot of time in 'em, myself. City of Danville is STILL resisting efforts... SO!

kydave, The CSA Treasury in Greenhill Cemetery will never legally be dug up. Had my ex-partner continued to work with me, we could have already dug it up legally through the courts but you know how greedy, selfish people are? I have about 20 to 25 coins that I found there last fall, I gave 3 away, sold 4 and I have not counted the rest. I thought of putting them on e-bay for auction or sale but no one would believe where they came from---------so I guess I am stuck with them. I gave my first silver coin find to my partner Ed Powers, I also gave him the first gold coin I found. We have not made but two hunts together, one near his home and one in South Carolina. We may get lucky soon. We did find a grave where someone from London, England dug up a large amount of gold about 30 years ago. The grave is still open with the rocks lying about the grave with the headstone broken and facing the opposite direction. There are more rumors of huge caches up and down the Broad River that we have to check out, if I can ever get time off from work. One lucky strike and there will be no more work. Then I can return to Danville and dig up the treasury, also purchase the land where the Beale Treasure is located, I believe the going price is $1.3 Million Dollars if I understood the landowner correctly. Rebel, Keep up the R & I R & D or whatever you are doing, you are doing a great job.

Yep, I'll have to take sides with you concerning some of the people you have had to deal with in the past. Just wondering if anything had been going on in Danville. Never did know exactly where you had found the coins, but did know you had found some. I'm going down to Sebastian Inlet right after Christmas but don't really expect to find much since the storm season is about over, probably do a little fishing and Detecting on the beach anyway. I've learned the best places to fish and i know where all the wrecks are, still hard to find anything, lot of sand to cover, around 30 miles to be exact.

Might be a good time to go down there. Did we not just have a northeaster, that usually erodes the sand away from the beaches. You should be able to metal detect about 10 to 15 feet deeper now?
