Hi All,
I'm looking for some helpful advise. It seems that the land owner that I have contacted would like $100,000.00 for permission to look on their land! As I am a poor but honest person the idea of even giving up said bank deposit is not an option. They did state that if something was found that they would have to get at least 75% of the treasure. I hate to think that my quest has ended before I even get a chance to see if I am right. I don't think tresspassing is a very good option either, I do not want to comedown with a bad case of "Lead" poisoning! Looking for some helpful advise...any ideas would be welcome...

You may as well move on. Anyone asking 75% of any treasure found and $100,000 to search the property is greedy with a capital G. No need wasting time on or near that property. Your best bet is to wait for a new owner.

The sad thing to this is that the future owner will be their son who I have been dealing with. Understanding on their part is not in their nature. I could not even get anyone there to talk to me untill I had told them that since I could not finish my quest then I would publish what I believe to the truth. Leaving out of course thier names and address, don't want no legal issues. They called pretty darn quick after that. That's when they stated that they wanted me to form a LLC with a $100,000.00 policy and I had said that it sounded like someone wanted to sue me. He had said it would protect me and I said from whom? The second call thier son just came outright and said they wanted $100,000.00. I had told him that that wasn't possible and that I would give half of what I find and he had said that they wanted 75% and 100,000.00. Well the talkingt has ended and now I look for options.

Go ahead and form the LLC, it will cost you about $200 or $300. That does keep the landowner from suing you. Since, the LLC has no assets, if they sue you, they get nothing. They can not sue you personally. As for the $100,000 policy, that is a new one on me. I do not even know what they are talking about. I do know what they mean if they want you to place $100,000 in escrow for damages. As far as giving them $100,000. If I had that much I would not need to find the treasure. How large is the property? Do you have any leads as to where the treasure is located? In other words are you 100% sure you could find the treasure even if you got access to the property or are you just hoping to luck up on the treasure. If you are positive then the landowner may overlook the down payment. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I don't think he really knew what he was talking about. That is why he had changed from me starting a LLC to me just handing over $100,000.00. I think he is making sure he gets something no matter if anything is found. The guy is steadfast on that money. As for knowing where to look, I am about 95% sure I have the location and I do know what I am looking for specific. I am giving 5% due to almost two hundred years of enviorment change. There has been almost no changes and I mean because of human expansion in that area.

treasure1822, You can dowse and use triangulation of the land without going on the land to see if the treasure is still there. Some people don't believe in dowsing but I think it will work if you try. Don't go dowsing with any preconceived ideas of the treasures location, ninety-nine times out of one hundred you will be wrong if you try to think where the treasure is but if you let the dowser show you it will be right everytime.
