rebel,
About all of your post end with KGC? Tell me about the KGC and I will tell you what you wish to know about the Beale Treasure. At least as much as I have researched on the Beale Treasure.
I need to know if there are any books that can be purchased about the call signs of the KGC or if there are any web sites where this information may be found?
Does the KGC always use Masonic writings or codes. My ancestors have been members ever since King Arthur and the original KGC, but I know nothing about their Charters their rictuals.
My ancestors predate "Stonehenge". That is where we are from originally. One of my ancestors killed the archbishop of Cantibary. (Spelling may be wrong) But I do know Adam Atwelle was his name. He went to hiding with the Ghent Family in 1280; while there he helped to translate the Ghent Bible. The first Court of Hustings in 1266 was called "Attwelle"
Please if you know anything of the KGC, post it or send me e-mail to albert_hunter@yahoo.com

There r many "pics" on one site... and he said to look for "L-shaped" trees... fantastic stuff! I have seen such trees on Tobacco Row Mountains in Amherst County, where wife and I once lived... DANG! now I gotta go hiking into these hills, nearby... Long live da KGC!

Rebel,
Thanks for the web-site of the KGC. I have e-mailed and talked with Floyd Mann, years ago. He knows a great deal about treasures and hunting for them.
I haven't been able to locate anything about Hillybilly Bob. But I will keep searching.
As for your mention of trees in an "L" shape? This has been a symbol for treasure for hundreds of years. The French, Spanish and the English used this as a marker for treasures and I suppose the KGC also. Actually, the line of trees or large stones are in a formation that resembles the shape of the letter "J" and the treasure is to be located at either end of the straight lines at the uppper end of the "J" or at the tip end of the straight line in the "hook" part of the "J" I hope this helps in your searches.
I am more interested in the KGC's use of clay marbles or Indian marbles as I call them to mark a treasures vault or location. Anyone have any information about these clay marbles?

Yo tjb! Rebel here: Glad u found some of the stuff... Floyd DOES have wonderful KGC web-site... he HAS done his "home-work" ha! ha! ha! In terms of Hill-billy Bob... checK: www.treasure-signs.com ( lots of stuff there) www.treasurenet.com 198.ezboard www.losttreasure.com OR do engine search: GOLDEN CIRCLE RESEARCH SOCIETY. In terms of "L-shaped" trees... I have seen the flat straight edge (bottom of "L"); KGC used many of old ways of "signing" treasures... Hillbilly Bob knows more... I remember da marbles... I called them Williamsburg Marbles... I had one, years ago... Happy Hunting! ;D

David and Charlie Mason told me of "THEIR" idea that involved the mormon bible and the Morning and Evening Star newspaper which i found to be very interesting and i studied this for several months. In the June 1832 paper as i recall it seems all parties heading west passed right by the newspaper office and were mentioned in the paper, the size of the party and its captain. In the Bible is named the "place of deposit" and tells exactly where the vault is which will raise your brow if you haven't read about this before. I found this to be a very good idea in connecting it with the beale deal and i doubt if anyone has tried this approach before that tells me theres still things that haven't been tried in attacking the beale code just when i thought that probably wasn't possible and i think the kgc is also a good approach. Just something to post about that needed to be mentioned.

place of deposit is dual in meaning
1... its a town where morris had a treasure train of spicies and plate ( check out rand & mc nally)
2..its a post office
........................................................................................
But the place of deposit is significant in relation to the the geographical location without the use of a cartographor and or other laymen to keep record of it there by not needing notes or letters to divaulge its true but neferrous history of events

Place of Deposit: Convenient to the village of Manchester, Ontario county, New York stands a hill of considerable size and the most elevated of any in the neighborhood. On the west side of this hill not far from the top under a stone of considerable size deposited in a stone box are the golden plates. This stone was thick and rounding in the middle on the upper side and thinner towards the edges so that the middle part was visible above the ground but the edge all around was covered with earth. Theres a cementery there called "Wells" that doesn't exist, strange! The people that are supposed to be buried there in reality are buried in "Village cementery" Lat. 42.57 N by 77.13.53 W west side of rt. 21 by Baptist church 1821 Many Revolutionary soldiers and Patriots are buried there. You need to read the Morning and Evening Star newspaper June 1832 which is online and check out the Mormon Bible and Joseph Smith and the Golden Plates.

Rebel, Just some more info on Sheriff A.D. or "Donnie" Pence. Captain A. Donnie Pence was born in Clay Co. Missouri Aug. 15 1847, educated at Thent, Carroll Co. Ky. He served in the CSA under Gen. Price and later with Quantrill's Raiders whose members also included Frank and Jesse James, also Bud Pence. The Pence's were related to the James by marriage. Zeielda Cole and the Rev. Robert James had two sons , Frank and Jesse. A.D. Pence lived on Mobley Mill Road at Samuels in Nelson Co. Ky. in 1865. William Clark Quantrill had a company of "thirty" when he arrived at Nelson Co. from Missouri. Frank James and sveral others were given pardons when they arrived at Samuels by General Palmer. Frank and Jesse also related to the Samuels of Ky. by Zeielda's second marraige after Robert died. After Quantrill was shot and the rest were captured or surrendered the James's and Pence's managed to escape, probably because they knew the area and where to get aid. After the war mail for the James boys was sent undercover to Donnie Pence and they had a "code" by which they communicated with him and each other thereby elimating the chance of letter spying. Because of a near capture the James bros. left here in a hurry one day in 1881 with the help of Donnie Pence of course. Mr. Pence was later arrested and let escape because the arressting officer feared for his life from friends and family. The officer name was John Francis and had planned on taking Pence to Missouri for trial but was told it wouldn't be healthy for him to go out to Samuels and get Donnie so he went back to Missouri and told them he had a narrow escape from that bunch of rebels in Ky. Captain Pence died Feb. 25, 1896 at his home in Samuels, Ky. where Jesse James Oct. 18 1881 had been scratched on the window glass. Well sorry that's all i know for now! Later

Hey Reb, One thing for sure, if you can prove William Clark Quantrill was a mason you can bet the James boys were also. Frank James and Donnie Pence became very close during the Civil War. Frank and Donnie saved each others life more than once during the war. Captain Pence was sheriff for thirty years after the war until his death, covering the James boys all the time when they came to Ky. Quantrill also had in his company Sue Munday and One Arm Berry, two other notorious Kentucky marauders To mention how poplar Sheriff Pence was his pallbearers were Judge Jones, Judge Thomas, Judge kelly, Judge Muir, Burr Lewis and S. S. Bishop. Funeral was conducted by Rev. S. H. Lovelace. Just to mention all these names in case you come across them in research somewhere.

Mason (as were all KGC... why they could keep da SECRETS)... they continued to check on depositories/Supers-D's after the WAR... why Buck Wright probably checked on B.T. with Ransom... before getting it and hi-tailing it to Mexico... ha! ha! ha! In terms of the other names... they were probably ALL 32nd... S.R. Masons... it wouild be interesting to see if they had Masonic Rites at his burial... Lawd Gawd A'Mighty! Long live da KGC! ;D
