First page cited above... "Jean Lafitte was not only a gentleman pirate/privateer, but also a man consumed with NUMBERS.... (he) used NUMBERS as an integral part of his daily life." (p.15) THIS sounds like something written by someone at NSA (National Security Agency) the ORIGINAL "source" of "spy-stuff', from "way back when". BRIEFLY featured on Brad's show, DECODED (on DOI); it was REALLY about the BEALE TREASURE. NSA said "BT" was underwater, in New Orleans, LA. KATRINA... FIRST US MINT... now, a HAUNTED museum! Reckon we oughta do a FOI (Freedom of Information) "request" on Jean Lafitte/Lafitte Bros file(s) from NSA! HA!

Jean's fave ship was the PRIDE; in OCC (Old City Cemetery) here is Lynchburg, Va. (off of 5th Street), there is a plaque stating that the "BT" (Beale Treasure) is buried in the cemetery. THIS is INTERESTING... I found out where the "dig" in 1970 for "BT" was; it is in the OLD section of OCC, behind a HUGE tombstone, with the name... PRIDE! NOW! Lynchburg, Va. history state that Andy Jackson (hero of the Battle of New Orleans) was wined & dined here in 1815, on his way to DC (& meeting with PREZ James Madison), and had a HUGE parade! Even Thom Jefferson came out from Poplar Forest for it. BOTH Andy & Thom spent time at Poplar Forest, too; wish I coulda been a fly on the wall, then! ANYWAY, Could Andy have arranged for Jean's Treasure(s) to be deposited as "BT" in old section of OCC? ANOTHER tombstone has a HEART, a KGC "sign" for HUGE depository... Ha! Stay tuned for FURTHER development(s)... (SUNNY out...)
