Or something along those lines....I ggogled the beale treasure......I'm new at this thing.......I talked to my father and told him there was a website suggesting they found the vault/ empty....He says he wouldn't take too much stock in that.....He's known about the treasure since the fifties.....says they used to mine iron ore out of there way back in the day....so there are tons of cave's , caverns and crevaces back there.....a treasure hider's dream country.

Oh, I'm no treasure hunter......just very interested....hope one of you fella's finds it. I've lived around here for 30 some years and feel stupid that I'm just now becomming aware of the history of this place. I should shut up and listen more. Dad tells me there is allegedly more treasure too......confederate stocks supposedly around burnt chimney?danville? All this started when me and the wife started looking for a new house.......people started telling me the history around the places.

;D STARBUCKS! R & I: Beale Treasure and Daniel Cole... VERY interesting; SOUTH Goose Creek, at the "foot hill" of Porter Mountain. ;D CSA stuff: The Burnt Chimney I "know of" is on Rt. 122 South of Bedford City, past the bridge at Smith Mountain Lake (about 4 miles... gotta go past Booker T. Washington's "place"). General Early (CSA) was from that area of Franklin County, in the mountains towards Roanoke, Va. & HE defeated the Yanks under Gen. Hunter, when they "threatened" Lynchburg, Va. After the CW, Earley lived in Lynchburg; quite a character... ANYWAY, what I heard & read is that the REBS buried cannons with plugged up barrels full of gold & silver coins (PROBABLY Mexican Gold & British Silver, loaned to the CSA), along the Roanoke/Staunton River (Franklin County), or in the mountains near where Gen. Early's "home" was, BEFORE the CW. beale is the expert on Danville CSA stuff, and has two good CD books on such. ;D

;D STARBUCKS! Hmmmmmmmmmm... I looked at the "pics" towards "treasure site", and it DOES look like Goose Creek SOUTH, along the "foot" of Porters Mountain. When I reviewed the "moving video" (which has NOW been deleted by SOMEONE), I could "see" where it MAY have been. I know what I"M gonna do come Spring! HA! ;D

;D TODAY, my R & I will focus on Bro. Dan Cole; for the story of HIS quest, read the "PUZZLES, CLUES..." book; that book stated that they did not know where Bro. Cole got HIS "KEY" from... AND! I think I DO! Judge Hart's LOST MASONIC MANUSCRIPT! Judge Hart became a FREEMASON at 91 years of age, by "regular route", OR... BY BEING MADE A "FREEMASON-AT-SIGHT"! NOW! Bro. Cole's "notes" are on the "Beale Solved" web-site... it IS very INTERESTING! bealesolved.tripod.com/id10.html OR... "google" DAN COLE & THE BEALE TREASURE
