Yo! Rebel here: (STILL sunny out at 7:00 p. m.); found SOME of my stuff... re-reading IN SEARCH OF A GOLDEN VAULT by E. J. Easterling... AND... CONFEDERATE TREASURE COVERUP by Peter Viemeister; beale, you are in Easterling's book on page 109... Z. Pike " was spying for the U. S. governent." That is why I think the original Beale trip to the SouthWest was a SPY trip... using Lewis & Clark's HISTORY OF THE EXPEDITION... TO THE SOURCE OF THE MISSOURI" (1814) as a "guide"... and da KEY... to "unsolved mysteries"... a "pic" of Toler is on page 108; he wrote the article on "Buck" and "Bear" that was in the Fincastle paper (I think...); in Peter's book... I am reading a LOT of what I heard from the Bedford County "natives" in terms of the CSA Treasury/Beale Treasure "connection"...

Hi rebel,
Yes, I gave Ed Easterling a lot of research, some of which he placed in his book. I have two copies of the book, also a cassette tape that was made by a professional narrator. It was well made.
Beale could have used Lewis & Clark Journals but they would have taken him only to the Council Bluffs, at that point they turned North by West. They also could have used Lt. Pike's Journal published in 1810 which would have taken them all the way to Sante Fe, which is where they were heading anyways. Remember in my book, "Lost Diaries of Thomas J. Beall" about James Pursley or Purcell how James' brother John was the father in law of Zephaniah, Thomas J. Beall's brother. Zephaniah married Mary Purcell. Mary Purcell was born a little to the southeast of Bufford's Tavern. The picture should be more clear now?
Purcell found gold in 1805 on the South Fork of the Platte River. Also Thomas J. Beall's guide was quite familar with his travels in and around Sante Fe. Keep researching rebel, you will find that my book is 100% accurate.

Yo! ;D Heading up to the Shenandoah Valley next two days to visit my family up there,,, will be back Saturday about NOON... meanwhile... info on the Thomas Jefferson, et al CYPHER for review... just "google" THE ONLINE LIBRARY OF LIBERTY... THOMAS JEFFERSON: THE WORKS OF THOMAS JEFFERSON VOL. IV (1782 - 1785)... apparently, Prez. James Madison also used CYPHER before the War of 1812... the poyalphabetic cypher code was developed by James Lovell... what I have seen of it... appears to be "indian writing"... BUT! polyalphabetic code is a combination of numbers and letters, I think... AND! the Beale Codes are in NUMBERS... MORE "HIGH-TEST"!!!

Rebel,
Appreciate any viable information you may have found? Appreciate it greatly.
There is a lot of people out there in the world that read this forum. Most don't post but they do read what we are talking about. One such person living in Germany purchased a CD from me, "Lost Diaries of Thomas J. Beall." He gave a review of your post that I thought you may like. He said you are "quite a man with a great deal of knowledge. And to tell you the truth I agree whole heartedly with that surmise.
I hope to see you in person real soon.
I put another engine in the race car, got it running today, will test on Thursday. Maybe race this Saturday will let you know the out come.

Yo! ;D Well, I never said it was the KEY to the Beale Code(s)... only that I found it in Charlottesville, Va. AKA Thomas Jeffersonville, home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello, UVA, etc. etc.; James Madison ( I am a graduate of James Madison University... 2 degrees, 1 minor.) had a CYPHER CODE... maybe I need to go back to review HIS Code, too... beale, when you get your "hard copy", we can use THE KEY to communicate "secret" e-mails... LOL.

Yo! ;D beale, mailed THE KEY to U by "slow mail" today at NOON... U should get it in a day or two... Rebel, I received your "KEY" to the cipher codes today. Very interesting. I will try it with Code Number One and Code Number Three to see if anything works out. I will keep you posted. Thanks. PS I am sorry about posting my racing results on this forum, but you all must understand sometimes for weeks no one was posting. Rebel and I were corresponding in the hopes of getting others interested in posting. It seems things are picking up and getting better. But others need to post and post often if they want others inputs to their post. That way we all can benefit from reading the post of others and what they are doing in their treasure hunts whether it is the Beale Treasure or any other treasure. I truly appreciate everyone that post. I just don't like see any poster attacked, different opinions about treasure or a way to treasure hunt is fine we can either agree or agree to disagree. I just want everyone to get along. Best to all got to go to bed.

No problem with the cipher code rebel. That is what fifty percent of this website is about. All that was said by you if anyone should want to know was to go to another post. That is all. I think it should stay. Maybe someone that works with cipher codes can figure out the pattern or the key?

Yo! ;D No point in "working" the Code(s)... just "posted" about The KEY found in Ch'vile (was "interesting is all); STILL looking into the CSA-related stuff for the Beale "thingie" and FreeMasonic "connection"... "It was the 2nd year of the Confederate War... Beale and his CONFEDERATES..." LOTS of dead Rebels buried here in Lynchburg... ALSO, looking for T.T. Munford burial site in "town here"; have found the "site" of several places mentioned in the Beale Papers... BUT! it has been @ 130 - 190 years...

Forget about General Munford's burial site and tell me the location of where his plantation or home was located? I believe Munford and several of his men excaped Appomattox with a large amount of treasure. Whether this is the Beale Treasure or another treasure of substantial value I would like to find it. I do believe Munford lived on the Forest Road as did Buck Wright and Bear Tolley, two of his sentials. Send me an address and I will check it out, rebel. Thanks.
