Rebel, you are exactly right. I missed spelled his name. But there is something about this man that is not with the search engine. Joseph was a second guide and Indian Interpretor for Thomas J. Beale and Party on their trips out West. It was he that arranged the sell of $13,000. in silver for #13,000. in jewelry in St. Louis. He was already a silversmith in St. Louis, so this made the transaction easy for them. Quick eye, rebel, and thanks for spelling it right.

Oh and Rebel, why don't you just bite the bullet and register as a member? You do realise that anybody can post as Rebel and you wouldn't be able to prove that it wasn't you who posted? Trust me, membership doesn't hurt and you won't be asking for junk mail or whatever!

O.K. I will write it! I am finishing up on the writing of two frontier forts I discovered last year. I also have to fill out archeologist applications which is like writing a book. When I finish them, I will start on the Beale Treasure Book.
I may get it finished by Christmas. It will take a while to gather all of my past research. I have it scattered in closets, dresser draws, file cabinets and in about eight shoe boxes under my bed.
To put icing on the cake so to speak, I am going to try and recover the Beale Treasure by the time the book is finished. Rebel, we may have to cancel our search of turkey toe road and the Marshall Plantation. I will send you and Rockhound the first copies free of charge. Mark it down as inspiration. Good luck to you both. See you soon. albert_hunter@yahoo.com

Albert, you're a star!! I'm so glad to hear that you're going to take time out to commit your wisdom and experience to paper. And to think, I had something to do with that!! History will surely mark me down as a hero Seriously though, I hope you find some new found fervour in your writings! It just might be that you find a new outlet for your enthusiasm. Rebel: I'm going to look into your registration problems, sounds like when the new board came online it was flagged to have me vet all new registrations. I wasn't aware of that and I certainly haven't been notified by the board of any new members. I'll look into it and get back to you. Regards, Gordon

OK Rebel, I've checked it out and it turns out I was correct, the board was set to have me vet all new members and I've therefore approved your new registration, username "rebelgold". However, I've also changed the passwords on both your previous registration "Rebel KGC" (under which, it says you logged in yesterday!) and your new username "rebelgold" (as registered on Jan 6th).
I would recommend using your old username "Rebel KGC" because it has kept a count of your posts under that name and it makes it easier to check or search for them. It also has you graded as a senior member, which may or may not be of any relevance to you but it makes me happy lol
I'm sending you the new passwords now.
I hope this helps.
Gordon
P.S Remember to log in using the name "rebel" followed by your password... not the display name "Rebel KGC"! Perhaps that's been part of your original problem! You'll be asked for some confirmation data which I'm sure you'll know, assuming you were truthful when you first signed up lol.
If you have any other problems then please feel free to email me!
Regards,
Gordon

YO HO GORDO' I have been wondering when someone else was gonna come up with another book but I sure didn't think it would be Albert.I suppose he didn't learn anything from Fred and Will.I'd be willing to bet a good old American two dollar bill that Steve Day and Wildcard Chaney are laughing so hard that their sides are splitting. Do you recon that Elwood's book will be better. I am really curious about something though and that is where did Albert come up with all this information that Beale had a scout that bought and sold silver for them. Anyway just thought I'd check in and let ya'll know that I still keep up with what happening here. catch you later bt clodhopper

Thomas Jefferson Beall's Diaries of course! TJB's father died in 1840. His young mother lived another fifteen years later and died, in 1855. I told you Charlie there was information to be found in the home town of TJB. How do you think I know about Walter Otey and Stephen Braxton. Do you know the relationship between the Braxton's and the Coopers? It will all be in my book. It will be in plain English with the references on each page where the information was found. My book will be a fiction book based on found facts.

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Sounds good Beale... haven't seen any books on the "history" part, yet... Let pp laugh... as far as I know... they ain't FOUND IT, either... ANYWAY... the FACTION... FICTION based on FACTS... is wonderful idea... it frees yer "mind" to explore and write "possibilities"; as to solving da Code (a fake, as far as I Know....); good exercise in strengtening Brain "Stuff" so u don't "age" as fast... ENJOY da JOURNEY!!!

I love the idea of a Beale inspired Faction novel. It certainly couldn't be hokier than that pile of excrement Nick Cage released (did I say "released"?, surely it must have escaped!) National Treasure. Give me a true to life, good old mystery, treasure hunting yarn with real characters, real problems, real (and believable) solutions and I'll show you a story worth hearing!
The Beale Story would make a pretty good movie too, even a documentary in the Nick Broomfield / Michael Moore tradition would make rivetting viewing.
You never know, perhaps the next big blockbuster might be an adaptation of Alberts book!
