Tom,
I have always heard that a Family Bible of the Beale Family was found containing a "KEY" But, you finding it that is hard to believe after some of the post you have made.
If you are the man that found the Bible, then congradulations. You have said that you knew where several of these caches are located. I believe you have even offered to send the locations to myself and others. You say you are unable to recover any of the treasures. I will tell you that if any of what you are saying is correct, then send me a verifiable location and I will check it out and post my findings here on this forum for everyone to read. Whether you are right or wrong.
E-mail me at albert_hunter@yahoo.com
Before you do, I am telling you up front, I will post my findings, whether good or bad. Let's let everyone know if you can back up all of these post. I am waiting.

Hey Tom, I know what might get you posting again and tell us the story about the Bible. You know that 3-D method your always talking about? Well there was another fellow that had the same idea trying to decipher the "Golden Plates" that are mentioned in the Morman Bible. He was sitting at the table eating and was projecting the letters and symbols on the wall in his kitchen when all of a sudden he noticed that the "code" on the first page of the "Golden Plates" had perfect inverted parallels in it so maybe your idea has some merit after all. Now tell us a Bible story!

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Yeah... I have talked to local pp here in the area of "Super"... IT is all gone... they HAVE found some stuff from depositories/caches throughout the past century... one guy claims "Super" was on his granny's land on on Taylor's Mountain... I told him to keep "it" in the family... pass "it" on down to kids and grandkids... meanwhile... gonna get that Historic Marker, on Beale Trail Road saying... "Up the road apiece... the world-famous Beale Treasure... " ;D

Rebel,
I don't know why I can't convince people that the Beale Treasure could never have been buried on Taylor's Mountain. Just because the Innis' dug along the trail that crosses through Bobbitt's Gap to the Walnut Grove Church, across Upper Goose Creek Valley and then across Murrell's Gap and eventually to Liberty City, does not make this so.
If you will get a copy of the newspapers from that time period, you will find that that road was closed in 1817. Case closed. Another thing why would you take two tons of gold and silver to a mountain top to bury it, a few hundred yards from the main thoroughfare is sufficent. I am in the sign business as of this year, Rebel. How much will you pay for this sign you want, I will make it for you. Permission from the county to erect it is your responsibility. albert_hunter@yahoo.com

Yo! Rebel here: ;D Thanks for response, tjb... u may be correct about road being closed in 1817... the pp I talked to r more inclined towards the 1865 date on... AND "Taylor Mountain" doesn't mean "top of the mountain"... dunno where... never asked... AND State of Virginia does those Historic Markers... like civil war battlefields, historic places, etc... it would be GREAT way to get Monvale/Bedford County noticed... only ONE marker for the "Black Dave Hutter" shoot-a-thon"... AND... it would be FREE! Will see if Peter is interested... I thought u were on KGC trail, too...

Rebel,
I want to post sooner sometimes, but I can't seem to keep up with my pass letters. We need an easier way of logging in. Sometimes I have to go back to my e-mail to find it.
Anyway, You mentioned you thought I was on the KGC Trail. Hell, I am on all trails. I just can't seem to find the highway I have been looking for. albert_hunter@yahoo.com

How many besides me are beginning to think we are just wasting our time and really must be hard up for something to do with this Beale thing? My Dad was a very smart man i thought and has solved puzzles and riddles in the past. He just passed away after he and i had worked on this thing since 1963. So i don't know about you guys but i'm about ready to throw in the towel! But i have to say i did enjoy it and it was a great conversation piece. For years we thought we were very close to breaking the code but just couldn't put it together even after we knew how it was done we couldn't make it spell anything. So after long consideration we figured since it had three pages of numbers there was probably three steps in deciphering it which would make it like the odds of hitting the lottery. Summing all that up makes it vertuality impossible to break! I will tell anyone the frequency count method won't work because either the numbers have to be changed or they have to be moved to another position and not to mention there could be "nulls" to deal with and every mathmatical way of finding a solution has already been tried plus looking for other documents is a total waste of time. I have even had the DOI in Spanish and French so don't waste time doing that either. Over the last 40 years every stone has been turned over so there's not much left to dwell on. I would advise anyone just beginning this challenge to forget about it and find something better to do. If there was a key one of us old timers would have it by now and you can take that to the "bank"!

Yo! Rebel here: ;D WELCOME TO BEALE TREASURE CHAT ROOM! kydave, I agree with u... there r TWO aspects to this mystery.... SOLVING THE BEALE TREASURE "CODE"... AND... FINDING THE BEALE TREASURE... BOTH, a waste of time since the "super" is already gone SOUTH... to Mexico. There r still minor caches in these hills, from the War... and many depositories/caches in other states... some even mixed with "outlaw" treasures/caches... ;D Gotta research CONFEDERATE UNDERGROUND... study where-a-bout of ex-Reb officers/outlaws... most of the "good stuff" is out WEST in Texas... Arkansas... etc... so... ;D
