Beale, In November 1780 Kentucky was divided into these three counties, Lincoln, Jefferson and Fayette. Seems after so many people started pouring into Ky. Boone and a lot of others like him that couldn,t stand to be around a crowd left for Missouri to explore more of the western part of the country

Heres something everyone needs to know guys that could possibly be an aid to treasure hunting in the U.S. someday. For several years beginning in 1769 almost all mapmakers calculated their longitude from Independence Hall in Philadelphia built in 1732. It is 75 degrees 8 minutes and 45 seconds west of Greenwich. The Latitude is 39 degrees 56 minutes and 54 seconds north. Philadelphia was used as a Meridian by some mapmakers before 1769. So if you ever come up with a distance to measure or cordinates you just might be starting at the wrong place! Some believe this is why the Swift Mines haven't been located, or maybe even the Beale treasure or who knows how many others!

Ha! Strange, I've had visions of treasure buried along a stream in a mill or spring house in the area for years. Ha! Actually I figured if the Beale loot was ever found it would be in such a location so no difficulty would be had in finding it. If i was closer i would check everyone of these sites i could find just on a hunch!

So you see Albert theres a lot of people sitting out there sponging info from us and this forum that has the greed i was talking about and not willing to contribute anything for fear of giving something away so thats why i probably won't make many more post about the beale code. The worst part is these people are probably more intelligent than you and i on codebreaking and not willing to share anything.

I think it's about time to give the "Indian" a call don't you Albert? When you get close and still can't find it they say he's the one you need! But there still seems to be a real problem with this tresspassing thing. I think we might need a good used car salesman to talk to these people. I do have a deep seeking two box detector that might work.

Albert, I've all but given up on breaking the codes but your research impresses me. Wow! You have done some digging over the years. Don't know the chances of hunting on the properties you have mentioned but it seems that it's worth getting the detectors out anyway, that is if everybody that read your post is not on their way out there already. But i think i know you better than most, you didn't tell it all did you? ha! Hope not anyway. Later

Ha! You can't wear orange when you're sneakin around behind "No Trespassing" signs lookin for buried treasure or civil war relics. Don't know what to make of the $20,000 offer? Seems a group of treasure hunters could chip in on the deal, i know some get together on other treasure hunts with no guarantee's!

Hmmm very strange i haven't got a reply to my last two posts. I must be seeing things in these numbers that others don't! Ha! Guess it's about time to quit on these ciphers and go look for a real treasure while i still have partial sanity, been at it 40 years off and on and it's about time to move on like Albert says, unless you guys are holding info back and not telling all you know. If that's the case you had better let the greed go and spill the beans or this one will never be solved. The treasure is probably already gone anyway if there ever was one. Most just want to know whats in the letters and how they were encoded and if they say anything other than what Albert has decoded. I think i read something about the pots being found in the area a long time ago , also ballast stones being found somewhere around there. I always thought if the treasure was real it was floated down the James river and unloaded in Bedford county probably near coleman falls or Bufords Island then transported from there to the vault site. Using the "spooky" stuff, map dowsing puts it right on "Big Island" maybe Bufords Island is about four miles away i don't know. Like Albert said i think it's about time to throw in the towel unless somebody comes up with something better than what he has acomplished.

I guess nobody but me has noticed anything unusal about the numbers in these codes about how they are paired up and put in certain positions

Heres a perfect example that who ever made this code up counted the numbers. There is 618 numbers on page three. 336 numbers from the top is 618, 951. 618 numbers from the top or the last number is 952. Why were the numbers counted unless there's a scramble or system involved here?
