thanks Mr. Beale
I'm not looking for some treasure least part of it Ive found
I'm determined to see these codes in one piece and as far as boxes go there are greater men and more smarter than i am that have used boxes to prove the reality of treasure and some of these great men made advances by using the what if theory .
What I'm looking for is the KEY not the diamonds there gone. Not the silver its Still buried .
PS LET ME USE WHAT IF What if a famous person killed somebody and wanted to assure that his idenity was next to impossible to prove what are his options and what if somebody did find out ??
1. Fake a death as president who would question it . 2. get a room in the boon docks of Virgin IA buford tavern and use an alias after all who has seen you often enough in those woods to identify you and because you died as the president of usa who would challenge the death and so what if you have the same name and look alike, Since you have friends that are both Congressmen with the last name of Ward and have another brother in and of the oath of Brother hood of XXX
SOME HOW THIS PART ENDED DOWN HERE FROM ABOVE.====== Not the sheets of Bills They're are mostly chewed up by rodents. Not the gold because the owner is watching because he knows its there due to my earlier efforts. TOMm

Albert, It really doesn't matter if the treasure is real or a hoax, people have been raking these papers for over a hundred years looking for a treasure, and have not come close to finding it.. Personally I think EAP did this story, but Elwood says something different, and has given us his precepts of what he believes it to be.In the past others also have put forth what they assume is the proper direction for this puzzle, but not one of them has produced anything that could be done in simple steps following the directions that are given with in the Papers themselves.... I say this because Mr. Morriss alludes to the fact that clues are given,(ie.): the May 9th, or (EVER LETTER as I prefer to call it),really cant be totally understood without being familiar with the JAN 4th and Jan 5th Letters. If one reads these letters and ponders them as a whole, the clues seem to come at you from many directions. I have noticed that over the several years my brother David and I have read on many of these forums that in trying to decipher the codes most peoples endeavors have been to attack the codes and for the most part ignore the letters.. Let me ask you this Albert if I may, Do you not think that Beale would have had a contingency plan for Morriss in case the mentioned key was never recieved...I would think that Beale would have done just that...This is my line of research into this puzzle and it is bearing fruit as they say.. Is the treasure real or hoax...I personally have no idea...if it can be found then we will all know...It is for this reason that I find it hard to believe that Jessie James or anyone else had anything to do with it.. I will add that EAP wrote a letter to Everett Duchynik in Mar of 1849 talking about his greatest rationale ever and that many people would believe it,also that he had given the key to Duchynik's brother, the story was based on the Forty-Niner gold rush. Many people discount this as Poe died in 1849 and the puzzle references the second year of the confederate war,I think it was changed and should have read in the second year of the war with Mexico.. Rob Ward has done a lot of excellent research that circumstantially bears this out...But with all this said, truthfully no one can with 100% assurance say the quest is a hoax... Have a good day bt clodhopper

Just another clue! 56 numbers down on paper 2 is 56, the number of signers on the DOI! Think we have the material here for part 2 of National Treasure from all the posts i've read! Wooow is me, nobody sees the math but me and Gillogy! Don't even ask me to go there again!

Evening Gents
Heres some FYI on the dates on the bars are 1817 of Beales treasure
and it says this on them in this order.
Syracuse Smelting Works, Goverment Genuine , New York City.
There was and still is a hand carved three hundred yards from Morriss Share i can show it also when i get the other post up and i can verify that carving has been there for over 40 years
but the good news is the big vault is still covered how do i know it was morris share i went to a town wayback when and i started to interview any body that knew anthing about morris history some open up with family secerts and some wouldnt give the time of day so from what i learned i went looking for the smaller portion thats what i figured even though TJB said equal share (i Dont THINK so) and obtained the rights to dig and remove more latter

Rebel
Too Bad!, 'cause it's applicable to the Associates in number (3).
good luck with finding A Treasure, hope your endeavors bears the fruit you seek with the miles you walk and the holes you dig.As they proclaim in the "X Files"... "The Truth Is Out There"...somewhere
kydave
associates in-cipher (A's)=(30) RM's (1) + A's = (31) I (LOV) is 520 I / 30 = (1) A's is (40) so RM's (1) = 40 (not out of proportion) I - RM"s = (30) A's or 480
(A's) ciphered are 30 each cipher gets 16 some shares with relatives and others are 32 and 64
The exact Locality of the Vault is not numbered 1 but "I" The parties are given in number "3" and you can't find 1 without the other. I really hope you can see the light in some of this... without farther ado I wish you well, if you have a question, use AOL messenger, I will be happy to explain.
On the Trail, of The Tall Tale Letters....David Mason

Nope sorry, I think i did count the number of times numbers ending in 1, 2, 3 etc. were used and how many of a,b,c's were used and how far apart etc. once upon a time.
