I have worked on this treasure for over 25 years and have heard it all, seen it all. I have had a thought the other day on a NEW theory of mine. I would like to pose it here and now. I think the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE IS the key to this whole thing.
My proposal is write now the Doi (all 1322 letters) on a sheet of paper and then turn the sheet of paper sideways once right and then turn the paper sideways left. You will see that the letters now occupy different spaces and different numbers. This would simplify the fact that only one document was needed to code this treasure.
The trick it to figure how long the first column across is in letters??. Because it will make a difference when you turn it sideways either right or left but not upside down. And of course the larger letters would leave blank spaces in text when comverted.
Anyway its a thought and it makes my theory that only one document is the key and it’s the DOC.

Tom, Years ago you could buy a program that had the DOI and all three codes and each numbers position. I think it's a DOS program where you had all three codes in vertical columns and could shift each column back and forth linning up say, 48 in c1 with 49 in c2 and could see other numbers above or below linning up in numerical order also. Each number has the DOI letter next to it also. Anyway you could see that there was something going on "mathematically" with all three codes. I've got one somewhere but i don't think thats exactly what you had in mind. But i'm sure theres someone out there that could come up with what you want for a price.

Thanks gentlemen i am greatful for your reply and will use that info but i need a program that also high lights each letter abc (etc) with the choice to have each of that letter/number high lighted as a different color and be able to choose all OR 1 2 3 etc stay higlighted Rs=RED Bs=Blue Gs= Green Os = orange Ys =yellow and so on X&Z or T B J s= FONTS it also needs to be able to draw lines and arcs by degrees or just free hand draw I know i have written alot of absurd insane ideas but just like edison ill know that 9999 of them didnt work well but, this time ive got the Light Bulb or at least the correct filament TO SEE IN TO THEM *ALL THATS DARK in THEM* SO IF ANY OF YOU PROGRAMERS WANA take a look ill trade info for your talent , i know thats a lot of time involved . TOMm and arcs as well as letter count 1 2 3 etc and word count

PART 2 I was thinking that a grid set up also should be set up and the squares in the grid could be each a different color or font while having each number within the square also and with the option of giving each number a vaule 1=x 2=xx 3 =x y or z then x = ie. abc then the number in code 2 might =25 in code 3, might =37 of course in transformation /transposing from what document was fed to it and im absolutely positive that the DOI is not the only single sheet document used along with books as Ward stated that he tried maybe to kee p others from trying them BASICLY IM LOOKING FOR A WHAT IF PROGRAM in a color and number option grid i am real sure code 2 is only a fill in to assist in spelling the new words from the other 2 codes or stones it might even need rebroken and so far this looks like a huge treasure one on the eastern coast and one on the western coast some of it is in stocks i am only assuming that, It seems that part of it was moved to the east from hijacked mines and mint shipments TOMm

I have been reading with interest some of the posts from over the last year. I have followed the beale mystery for over 20 years. I am not a pro by any means, but i would like to sound a few ideas , and see what others think. One of the things i find interesting is that there are so many different results of the decoded paper #2 . The next thing is that the printers of the pamphlet seem to make so many mistakes. I'm sure that in 1885 mistakes were common .My point being that "is the decoded paper correct?" It would seem to me that the only information that could be the most reliable are the letters that beale writes himself. This is what i have based my attempts to crack the code from. I know that you all have read through these letters 1000 times, as have i. My impression of the man, is that he is detail oriented, organized, and methodical in his planning. In the letters he is exacting in his details of his journey and puts his thoughts to paper in a very elegant manner. Ex. "the game is worth the candle" To me he seems to be a man who as been around other people of affluence. He tells morris in his letters that everything needed to recover the cache is in the box. He makes special note to give the box as well as the letter dated may 9th to a reliable person of his choosing in case he "morris" is unable to comply. Would a person who is this compulsive about details allow so many mistakes of himself in the completion of his duties to his associates? This also brings to mind the question, Is this the method to use to allow for the recovery of the cache. The thought of someone delivering a letter ten years later is at best unreliable. I have never been able to see a copy of the original letters written by beale. Have they been archived ? I would be curious to see if his spelling is as detailed as the rest of his profile? These are just my opinions of this mystery. I would appreciate any input from anyone.
thanks cmaxey

cmaxey, The location of the iron box, the original letters and copies of the ciphers is a mystery. No one has ever found what happened to them. The most reliable information is the copy of the Beale Papers Pamphlet published in Peter viemiesters Book " New History of a Mystery". He located a relative of JB Ward who had a copy of the original published pamphlet and allowed Viemeister to photocopy it for inclusion in his bookk. Any other printing of the Beale Papers is nothing more than a copy of a copy of a copy. Also my theory of the many mistakes is, they are part of the game, that the Beale Papers are nothing more than an elaborate puzzle, a literary quiz of sorts with no gold silver or treasure associated with it. Just a game.... And if you do look at the many solutions presented to the Beale Code One by different people, you will notice that the articulation of these solutions does not match the writer of the Beale Letters or the writings of the Pamphlet so are suspect. everyone has theories, mine is there are no mistakes in the pamphlet they were all put there as part of the design....but that is just my theory. Others have theirs. As for me, when you start questioning the details I think you're on the right track. Keep at it, you're making a good start. ;D David mason

hello out there in Bela land
if i may i would like to give a few of my theories and ill start with*Perusal of the letter* Now how dose one USE a letter(abc) ? If thats the way then ? what parts make up a letter?? How many words are used more than once what then is hidden within the Letter if used? If its a letter consisting of sentences, heading, format, salutation, lines, punctilio, nouns and verbs, hyphens commas , and periods, dates and spacing and correct spelling & ending then it seems me an instrument is needed to complete them Such as a press or quill and since OFF SET TYPE which is a chosen type set in this pamphlet of many many choices of type set to use ? each letter had to be placed in the press often one at a time and the other way one can use a letter is by design the curves in eaclh letter or fonts can be used to make art they did that when the early days of computers came on the scene in early 80s they made a nude woman and other bunched up letters in a design 3D Three Dimension or layered So as for the* false or idle punctilio * if one will choose a theme of a person one will find that connecting the single characters in the offset type you can find the bits and pieces of what is in theme myself i always try to find words that are five letters or more because one can find most any four letter but when used in theme its different odds and i find sometimes a letter is a single letter is used twice although it appears once in the word and there by one will have a design and since they hired a guide they needed assistance of the stars at night unless they only operated in the day and then the sun was used this statement* in an excavation or* UN scrambled gives orion plus the other letters Ava an ex nine etc whether that has any significance i dont know about the box since these letters are layered i think that box is box canyon canyon being the bottom word underneath box TOMm

Yo! Rebel here: ;D I agree with Mr. Mason; there are NO originals available or info on the Iron Box, etc... HOWEVER... I will go to the Bedford Museum (P. V. was a President of it one time...) AND the Jones Memorial Library in Lynchburg, Va. and see if I can find an original copy of the "Job Print"... I will ALSO do research on that fire of "long ago"... I think I read of a fire destroying a Masonic Lodge in Lynchburg, Va. in the 1880's, and a few Masons were killed... supposedly the "Job Print" was done to raise $$$$ for their widows & orphans... dunno. We are still looking at TWO periods of time here... 1819 & 1820's... AND @ 1885... AND 50 cents was worth a lOT more then... than Today...

Good evening Ladies and Gents
You might wanna try General Price with that 50 cents and just for information sake, the treasure is not stated to be worth 3/4 of a million dollars it says *worth three quarters of a million* no dollars mentioned in morris letter As for iorn box im sure that iorn box is a coded word if anything i think it may be a brass box because the man that wrote this was to smart to put a valuable paper in less than a lead box and he knew it was going to be many years till morris open it and iorn rust thru and the reason Morris recieved that box is because he belonged to the inner masons along with 0thers in good standing i make this offer again to a programer i need a program wriitten/built see post way above i m a man of integrity im not a programer i will show the programer the way in and there will not be any doubt i wiil use the same coded numbers as shown in pamphlet this code may and should be broken this year others claim that it was broken and it may well be But not entirely TOMm
